The Nursery at Adkins Arboretum grows locally collected seeds and cuttings. No plants are collected from the wild.

While it is not open to the public, the Nursery hosts two native plant sales per year, one in spring and one in fall. The sales are held online only and plants are collected at scheduled pickup appointments. Plants are not shipped.

Adkins Arboretum’s online native plant sales boast the area’s largest selection of ornamental native trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, ferns, and vines for home landscapes. We strive to offer the healthiest, best quality plants.

Adkins Arboretum does not use neonicotinoid pesticides on any plant material propagated at our Nursery. Further, the Arboretum only purchases plants from reputable growers who have provided certification that their nursery product is free of that chemical.
