For nearly 40 years, regional artists have exhibited their work at Adkins Arboretum, celebrating the intersection of art and nature.

Six gallery exhibitions are held annually, including a juried show entitled Discovering the Native Landscapes of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, open to artists of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, an outdoor sculpture exhibit is on view annually from June through September.

Receptions are hosted for every exhibition to acknowledge the artists and their work. Art receptions are free and open to the public.

Artwork shown at Adkins Arboretum is for sale, unless otherwise noted. Art sales support the artists and contribute to the Arboretum’s ongoing mission of providing exceptional experiences in nature to promote environmental stewardship.

In addition to ongoing gallery exhibits, two of the Arboretum’s annual special events, Yarnstorming and Plein Air Adkins, promote artistic expression.
