Plein Air Adkins

Plein Air Adkins is a one-day plein air paint-out, exhibit, and sale where artists paint at the Arboretum in the morning and then exhibit and sell their work in the afternoon. The juror is Alison Berry, a painter who exhibits in Maryland and Virginia and has participated and placed in numerous plein air events.
The event is open to any artist who wishes to participate. Registration for artists is $20. Artists may register in advance or on the day of the event.
The public is invited to explore the Arboretum's woodland, meadows, and wetland while watching the artists paint, then enjoy the exhibit and sale with live music by Fine Times. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase art on the same day it was created! The day is free for observers.
