The Fall Landscape—Capturing Fall Colors, Shapes, and Textures photography workshop

Saturday, October 26, 2013
8:30 am12:00 pm

Discover and photograph the Arboretum’s fall landscape and colors. Learn how to get the best possible landscape images from your camera and lenses. Photographers of all levels are welcome, and you’ll leave the workshop a better photographer with a greater understanding of compositional elements and your camera. The workshop includes online pre-workshop instruction, classroom instruction, an illustrated handout, and shooting session with your instructor, Josh Taylor. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements enhancement techniques will also be introduced. These photographic techniques are easily done in Photoshop CS5/CS6, Photoshop Elements, and with some basic Photoshop/Photoshop Elements plug-ins. Participants can e-mail the instructor two JPEG images from the workshop for a written critique.

Note: Bring ALL photo equipment, including a digital memory card, extra batteries, and camera manual. A tripod is optional, but highly recommended. While point-and-shoot cameras are welcome, please be reminded that these cameras can work quite well but do have limited options.

Fee: $45 members, $60 non-members
