Howard McCoy is an environmental artist who has been creating art at Adkins Arboretum and serving on its art committee for over twenty years. Using natural materials such as vines and fallen branches, his site-specific sculptures encourage viewers to hone their awareness of the environment around them. With his collaborative partner, Mary McCoy, he has been creating outdoor sculpture at the Arboretum since 1999. His solo and collaborative work has been exhibited in the U.S., Ireland, Wales and New Zealand. He earned an MFA in Painting from George Washington University and a BA in Art from Georgetown College in Kentucky.
