Courtney Rivera

Courtney is an environmental educator who joined us after 8 years as a public middle and high school science teacher. She is passionate about outdoor education and making learning accessible to all, believing the outdoors are for everyone.
Courtney holds a degree in Forensic Anthropology from UNCW, earned her teaching certification through AACC, and later completed a Master of Education degree at LaSalle University. Outside of her work at the Arboretum, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her dog, exploring national parks, and making pottery.
