Leslie Hunter Cario—Horticulture Consultant
Specializing in horticultural, botanical, and ecological aspects of native plants, Leslie’s work includes regular operational projects such as managing native plant sale events, procuring plant material and assisting with management of cultivated gardens/ horticultural collections, and providing technical assistance with native seed propagation and nursery facilities. Her work now includes managing the care of the natural areas, trails, grounds, cultivated gardens, and nursery, as well as overseeing conservation, habitat restoration, and ecological efforts. Additionally, she manages grants as applicable to help develop Adkins’ Living Collections Database and to promote native species horticulture.
