Ruth Rogers Clausen, who was trained in the UK, worked in commercial horticulture for many years on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. At The New York Botanical Garden, she trained mid-life career changers as well as youngsters entering the field. She was horticulture editor for Country Living Garden magazine. Ruth is author or co-author of several popular books and lectures widely circulated at horticultural symposia, garden societies and clubs. In 2017, she was awarded the Garden Media Award by the Perennial Plant Association. She served on the Boards of Lasdon Park & Arboretum, Westchester, NY and of Delaware Botanic Gardens prior being elected to the Board of Trustees for Adkins Arboretum.
