Board bios

Damika Baker-Wilson, CFRE is a Senior Consultant with The Compass Group, an international fundraising consulting firm where she works with nonprofit organizations in the arts and culture sector. Her experience includes development leadership roles at the Smithsonian Institution, HumanitiesDC, Academy Art Museum, Reginald F. Lewis Museum Maryland African American History & Culture, and the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. In addition to Adkins Arboretum, Damika also serves on the boards of the Association of African American Museums and Talbot Arts. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, African American Development Officers, Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Damika holds an undergraduate degree in Afro-American Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and has completed graduate coursework in nonprofit and association management at University of Maryland Global Campus and in museology/museum studies at Johns Hopkins University. She currently lives in Easton with her husband and children.
